Marine Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency (MROCP) Courses

MROCP Courses in 2008

Volunteer Marine Rescue Southport/Surfers Paradise (VMR400) will again provide marine radio operation courses in 2008. The courses will be on 5 consecutive Thursday nights from 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm.

 COURSE DATES 2008

• 7^th February to 6^th March
• 1^st May to 29^th May
• 3^rd July to 31^st July
• 4^th September to 2^nd October
• 6^th November to 4^th December

COURSE VENUE

Volunteer Marine Rescue Base, Muriel Henchman Drive (Next to Seaworld Nara Resort, (The Spit) Main Beach)

COURSE COSTS

Essential:- $30 for study manual

plus $33 for non members OR $55 VMR joining fee.

Current VMR financial members-free.

EXAMINATION COST

$48 fee to Aust. Maritime College to be paid before sitting for exam.

7 days per week.

• On passing MROCP, VMR Southport would be delighted to provide ongoing training FREE to members to assist in providing marine radio safety watch either at VMR Base and/or Gold Coast Seaway Tower
