By registering your boating details for the day, VMR Southport (VMR400) will maintain a listening watch in association with the Seaway Tower and outside the Seaway Tower operating times.
The watch is on radio VHF, 27 meg, HF or telephone for search and rescue alerting purposes.
Rescue Services.
Should you, your crew or passengers, or vessel suffer some emergency or potentially hazardous situation, such as grounding, fire, or breakdown, a simple call for assistance to VMR Southport (VMR400) will see our crews activated and come to your assistance as soon as possible.
Please Note
Because of the expensive nature of marine rescue services, assistance provided to non-members may attract a cost recovery fee.
